Marchelle Lundquist

CS + Sustainable Development Major

Climate change has been on my mind for as long as I can remember. So, I decided to be part of the solution. My career path lets me develop technology to create a future with less suffering for everyone on our planet.

I’ve already flexed my skills in computer science in combination with my passion for sustainability through ADI Foundry, Columbia’s civic technology initiative. We built a web application for environmental scientists to visualize data from an autonomous underwater vehicle roaming the New York Harbor.

It’s all part of the Billion Oyster Project, which aims to improve the marine ecosystem and to clean water in the harbor.
